Family Night at home, in lieu of homework. The 29th and 30th March Family Nights will offer a wonderful opportunity for students and parents to visit the FM Observatory. Click here for more details. Family Night at home, in lieu of homework. Monday, November 2nd, 2009. This month's feature is "Table Talk". We all wish we had more time to just sit around and talk. Here’s your excuse to make tonight THE NIGHT! Make plans to all be at the dinner table together and get those communication juices flowing. Having a crazy week? Running around? “Talk it up” in the car. Do what your family does best to catch-up or connect. If you don’t know where to start, try some of the following suggestions: Spotlight Person • Start with one family member as the “Spotlight Person.” • Go around the table and everyone say (1) What you think that person does really well, and (2) What you think is their favorite food. • After everyone has had a turn to talk about the Spotlight Person, let the Spotlight Person answer the two questions for themselves. • Change the Spotlight Person until everyone gets a turn. Little Known Facts About Me • Everyone provide three “little know” statements about themselves. • Two statements must be true, one must be fiction. • Have everyone take a guess which statement is not true. Top Three Have each person share their “Top Three…….” • Family Memories • Vacations • Holiday Moments/Birthdays Highlight and Lowlight • Take turns recounting the best and worst parts of your day. • Describe a perfect day! Have some great conversations! |
